If you have trouble concentrating and/or prefer some noise while you work, read on!

I came across focus@will when one of my favourite authors brought it up. I’m always interested in ways of making myself more productive so if this can help me concentrate better, why not?

It’s been several months since I started using it and I like the results. My concentration levels are much better which sometimes see me finishing up faster than usual.

Of course, it’s not a magic wand where you use it and voila, you’re better. I think this helps put your head space in a more focused manner when it comes to working. Or whatever task you’re on. (Remember the Pomodoro technique?)

There is a wide variety of music (Classical, acoustic and etc) and sounds available. My favourite is the Kora beta under the Labs tab. You can skip the tracks anytime or even reset them.

They have a system to recommend you channels if you’re unsure where to begin. You can use a timer or go without it and track your productivity over time.

According to their help section, they recommend using headphones/earphones or any decent outboard speaker with a decent bass response to get the full effect of the music.

focus@will is available on various devices and OS (desktop, browser, Android and iOS) and is really smooth when switching from one platform to another. They recently revamped their interface and I think it’s really nice 🙂

Consider giving these alternatives a go. Different people, different wavelengths after all! 😀
